I think by now that most of you know my name is Patricia and that I am a single mom with a daughter I love more than anything. From my screen name I am sure you have guessed that I have a passion for dragons. Myth and fantasy are favorites of mine. My home is filled with dragons and gargoyles. I’ve been writing poetry and short stories since I was in high school. But I didn’t share them with people because I wasn’t sure if they were good enough. About two years ago I stumbled across Friendship and Love while looking for poetry to read during lunch at the office. I was hooked. There were so many poems that I enjoyed reading and everyone seemed so friendly. After about two months of just reading what was on the site, I found the courage to register and post a few verses. Then lo’ and behold someone replied with a very nice comment. It encouraged me to continue writing. *grins & laughs* Now Cindy can’t get rid of me. I
thank God that I found her site and all of the wonderful people there who have become friends and feel like family to me.
As for me personally… I am pretty much what you read in my verses. I write from the heart and soul because it is all that I know. I am an artist, a drafter and a writer. In my spare time (not that there’s much of it)I like to draw and sculpt. I would love to learn how to work glass, either by heating and sculpting it or making stained glass art. And my dream, is to one day, actually get some of my stories published. For right now though, I am a mother first, a friend second and just a woman trying to live her life as simply and as best as she can. You could say that I live my life like I write my poetry - with my heart and soul… because it’s the only way I know how.
