Why has no one commented on my poem?
The main reason may be that you have not responded to any other members posts. In order to make yourself known and actively participate in the forum you must repond to other members. In addition, it is a requirement of the site. Individuals must respond to at least 3 other posts for every poem they post. If a member does not do this, then they should not be surprised when others do not reply to them nor should they expect other members to take the time. It is only common courtesy-if your expect a response-others should expect the same from you.

Before you can login to the forum for the first time, your email address must be verified. Once your email is verified, I will approve your membership. This is done manually, therefore it does not happen immediately and it may take a few days. Thank you!!

How safe is uncopyrighted work on your site?
Your uncopyrighted poems are not any safer on this site then they are any other place. Individuals can copy your poem and claim it as their own. Unfortunately, this can happen quite often, and that is why I always advise individuals to copyright their poetry. Some are not as concerned with copyrighting as others. If you are concerned about others copying your poetry and claiming them as their own, then I suggest you have them officially copyrighted first. Copyrighting your work with the US Copyright Office is the only way to truly protect your work.

When you are posting your poem there is a drop down box where you can choose a color. Once you choose the color, you place your text in between the coding

I am sorry that your poem was deleted. A poem is deleted for one of two reasons. However, your poem was more then likely deleted because it was posted over 150 days ago. If you were unaware of this, I am sorry, but you should have been since it is posted in the Announcements and Rules section of the forum. In addition, I suggest that you never rely on a website as primary storage of your poems. You should always have a backup copy. Websites have technical problems all the time and all the information can be lost at any given time. In other words, none of the poems on this site are guaranteed to be here forever. I cannot be responsible for the loss of your poem. However, I am sorry.

Isitem and other members also have this problem, I believe it is caused by the word processor. Anyways, hit "modify" upper right hand of your poem commands, backspace the numbers out, and hit "save". Should be good to go.

I placed a poem on the forum twice and I realize that it is not allowed, but how do I delete one of them?
To delete a poem go to the poem and you will see a modify and delete option in the upper right hand corner when you post. Hit delete and confirm the deletion.

I am getting the following error when trying to access the forum "Warning: mysql_connect(): Too many connections in /home/users/web/b1245/pow.cbad/htdocs/poetryforum/index.php on line 50?
This error implies that the script has exceeded the maximum database connection limit which is currently 3600 connections an hour. When this happens you lose database access to the fourm for the remainder of the hour. Once the hour is up access will be restored to you. Basically, this means there are limitations and that my server only allows so many connections to the PHP database in an hour. If you see this error, please try again later. Thank you!
